Introducing Laylani Jenkins, 2023 Dream Basketball Classic Shooting Guard

Laylani Jenkins to play in the 2023 Dream Basketball Classic

Laylani Jenkins was nominated and accepted into the 2023 Dream Basketball Classic. After rigorous review from the committee, the top athletes were invited to attend the 3-day exposure event. The Dream Basketball Classic is a weekend long event of developmental activities and performance on a nationwide platform. Participation allows players to learn from some of the best teachers of the game, former professional players, college and high school coaches. Top performers from this event will be eligible to play in the Dream Basketball Spring Classic, held in a to be announced NBA arena.

Committee leader and CEO of Dream Sports Group, Shannon Riley, says “the athletes that were selected have exemplified great leadership skills on and off the court. This event will help each player build their exposure and college connections. Every participant will have their recruiting information shared to our network of NCAA, NAIA and JUCO colleges and universities. We believe that these are the next stars of the game, and we want to recognize them for their outstanding achievements and help them get to the next level.”

"Laylani's quick first step and ability to change directions on a dime make her a challenging matchup for any defender. She navigates through defenses with control, executing crossovers, hesitation moves, and spin dribbles that keep defenders off-balance. She embodies leadership both on and off the court. Her effective communication with teammates, understanding of offensive and defensive strategies, and ability to motivate those around her reflect her natural leadership qualities. We are excited to see her display her talents this fall in Wilmington, DE at the 76ers Chase Fieldhouse!"

Dream Sports Group congratulates her on this prestigious honor and once in a lifetime opportunity.
