The Somerset Bulldogs, led by head coach Koy Detmer, delivered a statement win Friday night, overpowering the Jourdanton Indians with a decisive 48–13 victory. It was an all-around team effort, with Somerset controlling the game from start to finish in what can only be described as an epic beat down.
After the game, National Radar Scout Hank Seay caught up with three Dream All-American prospects who played key roles in the Bulldogs’ success: Malakai Iverson (Class of 2028), John Wayne Niemietz (Class of 2028), and Jake Seay (Class of 2028). Each athlete spoke about the team’s preparation, their individual performances, and what it means to represent Somerset football on a big stage.
The Bulldogs’ victory not only adds another win to their record but also strengthens the case for their players as rising stars in the national recruiting conversation. With a legendary football mind like Detmer guiding the program and talented athletes such as Iverson, Niemietz, and Seay making noise, Somerset continues to prove why it’s one of the premier programs in Texas high school football.
National Radar will continue to follow these young Dream All-Americans as they build their legacies on and off the field.
