Kaden Hawker: New Plymouth's Dynamic Wide Receiver Prepares for the Boise Dream Football Classic

Kaden Hawker, a 6’0", 150-pound wide receiver for New Plymouth High School, is gearing up to make a significant impact at the Boise Dream Football Classic. Known for his hard work, speed, and excellent hands, Kaden is determined to make this season his best yet, setting ambitious goals for himself and his team.

The Inspiration Behind His Football Journey

Kaden’s love for football began with watching the sport on television. The excitement, teamwork, and energy of the game captivated him, and he knew from a young age that he wanted to be part of it. The thrill of catching a game-winning touchdown became a goal he aspired to achieve.

"I started playing football because I was inspired by the excitement and camaraderie of the sport," Kaden explains. "Watching a game on TV, I was captivated by the teamwork, skill, and sheer energy of it all. I wanted to be part of that, to experience the thrill of catching a game-winning touchdown. Football seemed like the perfect way to stay active, make new friends, and be a part of something bigger than myself."

This drive has shaped Kaden into the talented wide receiver he is today, always pushing himself to be better and working hard for his team.

Personal and Team Goals: Aiming for All-State Honors

For the upcoming season, Kaden has set high personal and team goals. On a personal level, he aims to become an all-state wide receiver and hopes to rack up around 1,000 receiving yards, showcasing his skills as one of the top players in the state.

"Some of my personal goals are to be an all-state receiver and have around 1,000 receiving yards," Kaden says.

As for the team, Kaden is focused on helping New Plymouth win districts and compete for a state championship, a goal that has motivated the entire squad. "Some of my team goals are to win districts and compete at state," he adds.

A Competitive and Outgoing Student

In the classroom, Kaden’s teachers would describe him as a hardworking and competitive student who brings energy to everything he does. He is outgoing, driven, and always strives to be his best.

"I think my teachers would say I am a very outgoing, hardworking kid that is very competitive," Kaden notes.

Kaden has also earned recognition for his athletic abilities, receiving Honorable Mention as a wide receiver and Second-Team honors for baseball. While he hasn't received academic honors or scholarship offers yet, he is focused on continuing to grow and improve.

Excitement for the Boise Dream Football Classic

For Kaden, the chance to play at Albertsons Stadium, home of the Boise State Broncos, is a dream come true. The upcoming game will be his first time playing on the iconic blue turf, and he is determined to make it an experience to remember.

"I am so pumped to play on the blue," Kaden shares. "It’ll be the first time, and I will make sure it will be the best experience."

With his determination, speed, and excellent hands, Kaden Hawker is ready to make a splash at the Boise Dream Football Classic and lead New Plymouth to success this season.
