Somerset, Texas – Linebacker John Wayne Niemietz of Somerset High School has officially been selected and committed to play in the Dream Football Classic. Niemietz brings leadership, toughness, and intelligence to the defensive side of the ball. His instincts and tackling ability make him one of Texas’s most respected young linebackers.
A two-year varsity starter, Niemietz was named Academic All-District and earned Defensive MVP honors at the Battle of 1604 event as a freshman. His discipline and field awareness allow him to anticipate plays and deliver powerful hits. Coaches recognize his ability to anchor a defense and elevate those around him.
As he prepares for the Dream Football Classic, Niemietz will look to showcase his physicality and high football IQ against elite national competition. His combination of strength, effort, and leadership continues to set the standard for linebackers across Texas.
