Andrew W. Finnerty, widely known as "Joker," a skilled wide receiver from Lejeune High School, has been selected to participate in the Dream Football Classic. Andrew brings exceptional talent and dedication to the field, with a strong background in multiple sports, including football, basketball, golf, and track. His impressive performance on the gridiron has earned him accolades, including All-Area and All-Conference 1st team honors and a record for the third-most receiving yards in the NCHSAA 1A division. Known for his agility, accuracy, and ability to read defenses, Andrew is a dual-threat player with a high football IQ and a reputation for leadership.
Andrew’s skills extend beyond football; he is a standout in basketball, where he earned the Gordon K. McIntosh Courage & Sports Award, and he’s shown resilience and focus as a golf regional runner-up and track & field state meet participant. His versatility as an athlete translates well to his role as a wide receiver, where he consistently demonstrates strong hands, quick lateral movements, and an uncanny ability to read defensive schemes. His relentless pursuit of excellence and coachable spirit have solidified his status as a leader and winner, on and off the field.
The Dream Football Classic will be a valuable experience for Andrew, giving him the opportunity to refine his skills under the mentorship of top coaches and former NFL players. Competing on a national stage among the country's best high school athletes, Andrew is ready to showcase his skills and determination, making the most of this opportunity to further his athletic journey.
