We are excited to announce that Tanielu Maafala-Barbasa from Arbor View High School in Nevada has been selected to participate in the prestigious Dream Football Classic. Standing at 6’1” and weighing 225 pounds, Tanielu is a powerful and quick defensive lineman known for his ability to disrupt offenses and make crucial plays. With an offer from New Mexico Highlands University already under his belt, his talent and potential are clear. Tanielu's speed, lateral quickness, and aggressive playstyle make him a dominant force on the line, whether he’s stopping the run or rushing the passer.
The Dream Football Classic provides Tanielu with the opportunity to further develop his skills under the mentorship of former NFL players and current college coaches. Throughout the weekend, he will engage in intensive training sessions designed to enhance his pass-rushing techniques, improve his run-stopping capabilities, and refine his overall football intelligence. His high football IQ and ability to read offensive schemes will be put to the test against the nation's top high school athletes, allowing him to continue growing as a defensive lineman.
Tanielu’s coachability, leadership qualities, and winner's mentality have made him a standout at Arbor View High School. His participation in the Dream Football Classic will provide him with national exposure, showcasing his skills to college scouts and recruiters. We are thrilled to see what Tanielu Maafala-Barbasa will accomplish at this elite event. Congratulations, Tanielu, on this well-deserved honor!
Committee leader and CEO of Dream Sports Group, Shannon Riley, says “the athletes that were selected have exemplified great leadership skills on and off the field, and have stood out as leading performers in each position.
