Griffin Fowler is a workhorse back with elite production and leadership qualities that make him one of the premier rising players in the Midwest. A two-year stat machine, Fowler racked up 1,706 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 116 carries in 2023, followed by another dominant season in 2024 with 1,050 yards and 16 touchdowns on just 85 carries. His efficiency, vision, and power make him a constant threat every time he touches the football.

What stands out beyond the numbers is Griffin’s combination of balance, burst, and field awareness. He breaks arm tackles with ease and has the patience to let blocks develop while still possessing the gear to hit the second level. He was named MVP for his 2023 season and recently received the Team Captain Award at the 2025 Dream All-American Game, showcasing both production and leadership.

Griffin is a National Radar 3-Star Watchlist athlete with a physical frame, a nose for the end zone, and a relentless motor. His versatility and toughness will translate well at the next level.

🏈 College Coach Evaluation – Running Backs Coach Perspective

Griffin Fowler is a productive and powerful back who’s proven he can carry a high-volume workload and finish in the red zone. He’s already produced over 2,700 rushing yards and 41 total touchdowns in just two seasons, which tells you how consistent and dangerous he is out of the backfield. At 6’0”, 171 lbs, he’s got a strong base and runs behind his pads. He doesn’t waste movement, hits cutback lanes naturally, and finishes runs with physicality.

From a coaching standpoint, what excites me most is Griffin’s durability, football intelligence, and leadership. His Captain’s Award at the Dream All-American Game reinforces that he’s the type of player who leads both vocally and by example. He has good straight-line speed, solid hands out of the backfield, and an attacking mindset in pass protection.
