Eastin Ponce Earns MVP Honors at Dream All-American Combine


Eastin Ponce, a Class of 2029 lineman from Somerset ISD in Somerset, Texas, delivered a dominant performance at the Dream All-American Combine on January 1st in Frisco, Texas, earning MVP honors through his efficiency, athletic movement skills, and consistency in drills and one-on-one competition. Measuring an impressive 6’5”, 335 pounds, Ponce immediately stood out with his rare combination of size, balance, and body control. Throughout tight end positional drills, he showed strong footwork, good lateral quickness, and the ability to bend and move fluidly for a big-bodied athlete. His great hands, ball tracking, and ability to attack the football were evident, as he consistently secured catches and finished through the drill work with confidence.


During one-on-one sessions, Ponce showcased his versatility as both a receiving threat and blocking presence, demonstrating sound technique, strong hand placement, and excellent awareness. He displayed a high football IQ, understanding spacing, leverage, and timing, while maintaining a steady, competitive approach on every rep. Coaches noted his coachability, leadership qualities, and willingness to be coached, as well as the consistent effort he brought throughout the event. Ponce’s MVP performance in Frisco further establishes him as a high-upside prospect in the Class of 2029 and a name to monitor closely within the Dream All-American pipeline.
