DJ Kelley Jr., a Class of 2027 defensive back from Suitland High School in Forestville, Maryland, delivered a strong and polished performance at the Dream All-American Combine on January 1st in Frisco, Texas, earning MVP honors through his consistency, instincts, and execution in drills and one-on-one competition. Measuring 5’9”, 140 pounds, Kelley stood out with his quick feet, smooth change of direction, and natural movement skills throughout defensive back positional work. He displayed good lateral quickness, great hand-eye coordination, and strong awareness, consistently reading route concepts and maintaining proper positioning during coverage-focused drills.
During one-on-one periods, Kelley showcased his ability to attack the football, displaying confident ball skills and strong timing when breaking on passes. He demonstrated comfort working in zone concepts, showed disciplined eye placement, and flashed a high football IQ that separated him from his peers. Coaches noted his coachability, leadership qualities, and competitive mindset throughout the session. An Honor Roll student with an offer from UFTL, Kelley’s MVP performance in Frisco further solidifies his status as a rising Class of 2027 defensive back and a prospect to continue tracking closely within the Dream All-American pipeline.
