Colorado’s Noah Montoya is a dynamic two-way player who excels at both defensive back and wide receiver. At 5’2” and 97 pounds, Noah may be undersized compared to some of his competition, but his high football IQ, quickness, and relentless work ethic make him one of the most versatile playmakers in his class. His offseason was spent training with elite coaches and even included time at IMG Academy, which sharpened his skills and boosted his confidence heading into the season.
Noah is as impressive in the classroom as he is on the field. A straight-A student who consistently makes Honor Roll, he understands that academics are the foundation for athletic success at the next level. He wakes up at 5 AM to train before school and has embraced his role as both a leader and motivator for his team. With championship experience from playing up with older groups, Noah has returned to his grade level with a goal of leading his squad to their first-ever title. With his sights set on a rematch against the team that knocked them out of last year’s playoffs, Noah is determined to make this season one to remember.
Q: How did offseason training prepare you for this year?
Noah: “Offseason training has translated to the field very well. I worked with some great trainers, local talent, and spent a few weeks at IMG Academy to finish off the summer. I am more prepared than I have ever been for a season.”
Q: What does being a student-athlete mean to you?
Noah: “I have consistently been a straight-A student and take pride in being on Honor Roll. I am a student-athlete and understand that my grades will need to be good in order to grow with the sport and have the opportunity to play in college.”
Q: What personal goals have you set this season?
Noah: “My morning workouts, my experience coming from a championship team, and my goal is to be a leader to my new team and help motivate and drive them to make it to their first-ever championship and win.”
Q: How is your team looking this season?
Noah: “Our team has a great coaching staff and with the game plan that they have put together this year, I believe we have the opportunity to go all the way.”
Q: Which matchup are you most excited for?
Noah: “I am looking forward to playing against the team that knocked my new squad out of the playoffs last season. I feel I have what it takes to prevent them from throwing the ball as well as they did.”
With his high football IQ, quickness, and two-way ability, Noah Montoya is shaping up to be one of the most versatile young playmakers in Colorado.
