Dream Sports Group and National Radar caught up with Somerset Head Coach Koy Detmer following his team’s commanding 43–22 victory over Uvalde. The Bulldogs put together an all-around performance — explosive on offense, disciplined on defense, and unified in execution — a reflection of the leadership and experience Coach Detmer continues to bring to the program.
A former NFL quarterback and Texas football legend, Coach Detmer has built a culture at Somerset that blends old-school toughness with modern development. His players compete with confidence, stay fundamentally sound, and play for one another — all core principles of the Bulldogs’ success this season.
Somerset’s offense showcased its versatility once again, putting up big numbers behind the arm of Kaleb Flores and the playmaking of Malakai Iverson, while the defense delivered timely stops led by Michael Gonzalez and John Wayne Niemietz — who returned a fumble for a 70-yard touchdown.
These performances are a testament to the Bulldogs’ commitment to growth, development, and exposure — values perfectly aligned with the mission of Dream Sports Group and National Radar. The Somerset program continues to develop next-level talent through participation in Dream’s Elite Combines and Showcases, giving players measurable results, verified film, and national visibility to over a thousand college programs.
