Brodee Greeley, a 5'9", 180-pound linebacker from Gooding High School, is gearing up to showcase his skills at the Boise Dream Football Classic. Known for his hard work, high football IQ, and powerful tackling abilities, Brodee is ready to take the field as a senior leader and help guide his team to success. As he prepares for his final season, he reflects on the journey that has made football a central part of his life.
A Football Journey Inspired by Family
Brodee’s love for football began at a young age, watching his older cousins play high school football. Their passion for the game had a lasting impact on him, and from that point forward, football became his focus both on and off the field.
"I grew up watching my older cousins play high school football, and it got me hooked," Brodee recalls. "Everything I did from there on usually dealt with football—whether it was school or my free time, it became my life."
His cousins were more than just role models; they helped him gain early knowledge of the game, and Brodee credits them with shaping his understanding of football from a young age.
Senior Season Goals: Leadership and Success
Now entering his senior season, Brodee is determined to be a leader for his younger teammates. On a team dominated by underclassmen, he understands the importance of setting a positive example and guiding the next generation of players.
"As a senior on a team dominated by underclassmen, I'd like to be a leader—a guy they can look up to and benefit from on and off the field," Brodee explains.
Brodee is also driven to improve on his sophomore achievement of earning Second-Team All-Conference honors by making First-Team this year. Additionally, he has his sights set on leading Gooding High to the state playoffs, aiming to finish his high school career on a high note.
A Dedicated and Humorous Student
In the classroom, Brodee is known for his strong work ethic and his ability to contribute thoughtfully to discussions. His teachers appreciate his dedication, as well as the humor he brings to the classroom environment.
"My teachers would say that I like to voice my opinion and get my point across," Brodee says. "I'm a very dedicated and hardworking student when it comes to class. I bring a different level of humor to the classroom."
Excitement for the Boise Dream Football Classic
Brodee has already experienced playing at Albertsons Stadium, having participated in a 7-on-7 tournament there, but this time, it feels different. The chance to play a full-contact football game on the blue turf is a childhood dream come true.
"I’ve played in the stadium before, for a 7-on-7 tournament, and I couldn’t believe where I was," Brodee shares. "Now I’m playing in the stadium for a tackle football game, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Playing on the blue turf in an actual football game has been a dream of mine since I was just a little kid."
With his leadership, work ethic, and love for the game, Brodee Greeley is ready to make the most of this incredible opportunity and leave a lasting impression at the Boise Dream Football Classic.
