Bennett Baumgartner, a Class of 2026 linebacker from Ponte Vedra High School (FL), turned in a dominant performance at the Dream All-American Combine on January 1st in Frisco, Texas, earning MVP honors through his consistency, physical tools, and competitiveness in drills and one-on-one situations. Standing 6’2”, 200 pounds, Baumgartner immediately stood out with his strong frame, explosive movements, and ability to play with controlled aggression. During linebacker positional drills, he showed excellent vision, quick read-and-react skills, and the ability to flow laterally while staying square to the line of scrimmage. His footwork, balance, and change of direction translated well throughout the session, allowing him to consistently put himself in position to make plays.
In one-on-one competitions, Baumgartner demonstrated the ability to drop into coverage, showing comfort in both man and zone concepts while keeping his eyes disciplined and breaking on the ball. Coaches noted his leadership qualities, toughness, and coachability, as well as the steady energy he brought to every rep. A true competitor and proven winner, Baumgartner’s MVP performance in Frisco further solidifies him as a high-level Class of 2026 prospect and a name college programs should continue to track closely.
