We are delighted to announce that Payton Nazzari from St. John Lutheran in Ocala will be participating in the Southeast Regional Recruit Nation College Prospect Showcase in Babson Park, FL. A talented Libero in the class of 2025, Payton stands at 5'5" and weighs 115 pounds. Her coachability, hardworking nature, and impressive quickness are complemented by her high volleyball IQ, making her an exceptional player on the court. Payton's skills in digging and serving are top-notch, and her dedication to the game has led her to numerous accomplishments, both individually and with her teams.
Payton's volleyball journey is marked by outstanding achievements. In her 8th grade year (2020/21), her high school beach team were Beach State Finalists, and her club team were National Qualifiers. As a freshman (2021/22), her school volleyball team won Districts and made it to Regional Finals, while her cross country team were district qualifiers and Regional Finalists. In her sophomore year (2022/23), her club team again qualified for Nationals, and her school volleyball team repeated their success. Payton and her beach volleyball partner went undefeated in the FHSAA season. She earned "First Team All-County" in cross country and had the "Girls Best Time of the Season" with a time of 20:41. Her team was District Runner-Up and a State Finalist. Currently a junior (2023/24), Payton continues to excel, earning "All District Team" and "Honorable Mention All-County" honors. Her beach volleyball team was a State Finalist, and she was named "Marion County Athlete of the Week". Academically, Payton is an All "A's" Honor Roll student, a Presidential Award recipient, and a member of the National Honor Society and Anchor Club.
