Athlete Spotlight: Mary Esler is Set to Shine at the Recruit Nation Volleyball Showcase

We are thrilled to announce that Mary Esler from Walnut Grove High School in Prosper, TX, will be attending the Recruit Nation College Prospect Showcase at the South Regional in Dallas, TX. As an opposite hitter, Mary has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Standing at 5'11" and weighing 150 lbs, her physical prowess, combined with her quickness and high volleyball IQ, make her an invaluable asset on the court. Known for being coachable and a hard worker, Mary excels in delivering powerful spikes, contributing significantly to her team’s offensive strength.

Mary's accomplishments are truly impressive. During the 2022/23 season, as a freshman on Legacy Christian's Varsity Volleyball team, she played as a 6-rotation outside hitter and helped lead the team to become Area champs, eventually falling short at the Regional playoffs to the State champions, Liberty Christian. She was named 1st Team All-District, District Newcomer of the Year, Honorable Mention All-State, and LCA's MVP Offensive Player of the Year. Continuing her success into the 2023/24 season as a sophomore, Mary again played as a 6-rotation outside hitter, earning 1st Team All-District honors, Honorable Mention All-State, and hitting her 500-kill milestone with a remarkable 32.9% hitting percentage. We are confident that Mary will continue to excel at the upcoming showcase and wish her the best of luck!
